I'm exploring the possibility of forming an haunt actors troup in the Charlotte area and promoting ourselves out and working with differnet haunts in 2010.

I know several members of Creature Features in Ohio and am looking to set up something similar. If there's anyone who's acted in one, or has advice or suggestions on how to get started, it would be appreciated...

I know someone in Charlotte that is very much involved in local theater. She might be able to help you recruit within the local acting community. If you like I can put you in touch with her.

I will probably take you up on that n a bit. Right now I have about a dozen people in mind who have worked in haunts with me over the years and have either become tired of the politics at their haunt, or the haunt closed down and they didn't work this season.

Badger,
I've been a member of the oldest haunted house acting troupe (and I used to run it). Send me a PM with any questions about running a troupe.

Set up the first meeting and about 12 people that I had hoped for are interested and will attend to hear my pitch. We'll see what happens...

And anyone have a suggestion for names?

What are your group's goals?

The main goals are to 'rent' ourselves out to various haunts and help work with their actors and staff during the season. We also plan to participate in local community service projects. Because I run the Charlotte Zombie Walk, they will make their presence known. A couple of local filmakers have already contacted me regarding needing actors for their low-budget horror films.

There are also several zombie-themed events at a local music hall and we're woking on participating in these.

More ideas as we think of them...
