I need to produce a rather large piece of one way glass (mirror one side, view through from the other)

Purchasing is simply way too expensive. I know there are films out there to apply to glass or acrylic to produce the same effect. I am looking for recommendations. I tried a smaller one with some film from home depot last year and was not satisfied with the product.

I am looking for some first hand success stories.

Thanks

I need this as well. Need a control booth window that can only be seen through in one direction.

I did read the post and this is not a first hand success. but I did think it was worth sharing though.

I have made an endless tunnel illusion that worked very well, the key was lighting it right. the light has to be much greater on the reflective side. I used reflective solar film, very cool stuff. It has a slight sunglasses shade to it but works well.

Thanks for the tip Allen. We're planning a lot of these illusions this year. Also, I believe the next issue of HauntWorld is suppose to have a great article on this.

I found 1/4" acrylic 2-way mirror (what you want) locally, $200 for a 4' x 8' sheet. I know it's not as inexpensive as buying film, but by the time you get both the film and acrylic or polycarbonate sheeting, It's easier to just buy it premade.

There are many different types of film in this website. Which one do you use Allen?

Go to Home Depot and get the most Mirrored window Tint that oyu can get...I think that i used 35% and it worked amazling well...it came with a bottle of spray glue so you could apply yourself all you would need to do is get the glass and apply
