Just wanted to give a shout out to Katie and Shane from Raven's Wolf (http://www.ravens-wolf.com), who came out to our new haunt in Branson (http://www.hauntedozarks.com) to do a seminar in acting and makeup.

In addition to being incredibly nice and generous, this duo really knows their trade and my group had an awesome time learning the dos and don'ts of haunt acting and of making each other up with some truly nasty makeup designs. For a group of first time haunters, this seminar was extremely valuable and I think it will set a high bar for our first year.

Acting and makeup sometimes fall by the wayside in a haunt, but this weekend truly reminded me what it's all about at the end of the day : People interacting with people. Haunts are not just walk through attractions, but theatrical shows performed for your customers.

I would highly recommend this pair for training in your haunt. I've been getting phone calls from my crew ever since, raving about the training and how excited they are to do the haunt. Thanks again to Katie and Shane! Love you guys!

What kind of make-up background do you have?

Sick,
My fiance and I have over 33 years of experience in the haunt industry and our makeup background includes: theater, print advertising, low budget horror movie spfx, mock crashes, zombie walks, and of course haunts. We teach everything from the basics of grease & powders, latex and gelatin, airbrushing, etc.
