Transworld 2011 ... what do you want to see vendors make for you? What products should be at the show, what should be improved, what services do you need? Speak up now!!!

TW will be scanning the IAAPA show, vendors are already thinking about next year... so tell everyone.

---------------

Here goes mine... MORE things actors can hold in their hands to scare people, things that make loud noises or sudden something or another.

Animations are always cool but again I'm looking for more more more costumes, masks, and things actors can use to get a scare.

What say everyone else?

Lastly... BIG MONSTER ANIMATIONS!

I want to see vendors deliver product that was paid for. If I can get that then everything else is gravy.

Hand held scares. Power cord, battery, even air cylinder. Mid size animatronics are ok but there are many to choose from. I like a big prop like past Impaler, Slayer, and Scissor serpeant. Gargoyle Shock was my favorite with actor hidden into animatronic...it nailed people. mid size electric props that do not need air might get nod from me.

I've always thought that the manufacturers should make it easier to retheme the big animatronics. Even the ability to change the head would work. Then you could paint the body or add/remove some type of clothing/burlap/foliage. It's a big investment and is one of the things people notice and remember, so even if you redo your haunt it will be what they remember from last year.

I would like to see more cost effective actor friendly masks. AS awesome and bad ass as they are I'm not handing a 16 yr old actor a 4 to 6 hundred dollar mask I'm thinking around the $25 to $60 range. How about more cash and carry masks so we can have something to chase the hotel chamber maids around in . How about vendors stop promising the moon to get the sale. Be honest and follow thru. don't take orders you can't fill or ship. How about vendors don't jack up the prices on the floor because they have a lot people interested in placing orders for an item. I would like to see more inexpensive effects like spark fence, air cannons or drop portraits I agree with Larry I wouldn't mind seeing more actor props or actor interactive gags.

I think this is a great idea, but then it limits the sales of the big dollar items from that vendor, which is the opposite of where the vendor wants to go, money wise.

It would be like GM offering a new body kit to make your 10 year old Malibu look like a brand new 2011 model.

Then again, I'm not sure about you but our props don't tend to last that long. We have some great stuff from Distortions that hasn't been to bad, same with Unit 70, but other than that every other prop (mechanical, animated - not inclusive of things like Kip's animated windows) we have ever bought has needed rebuilt on arrival, overhauled throughout the season or simply scrapped. We bought a mid dollar prop at TW last year ($2600 all said and done), it lasted 5 operating nights before it broke (hands went away), 7 nights before it was a total loss. It was literally made of chicken wire and some of the cheapest door hinges I have ever seen in my life.

I'd like to see someone produce a portable fog machine that an actor can wear under their clothing. I love the concept of a smoking creature wandering around a queue line...

They already exist! Look Solutions makes some nice mini foggers that are battery operated...

Take a look: http://looksolutionsusa.com/minifogmachines.shtml

Badger,

Magicians have had something like this for years! It's called "ultra-smoke"

Check online magic shops or local magic stores! Works wonders.

I second all the above. Would also like to see more marketing ideas for internet, merchandising ie tee shirts, car wraps, magnets, stickers for cars, etc.

I personally am looking for something a little more interactive for my website.

New masks and new costumes at an affordable rate. Static props and scare tools.

I want more makeup companies with more affordable facial appliances. Good priced masks at lower prices. More complete costumes or things to add to costumes. Also would like to see Transworld bring a celebrity to the haunt show since both shows are coming back together.

I am kinda switching gears here but it does have to do with Transworld.

I think the seminiars need to be more detailed such as a hands on detailing your haunt (Larry's crew would be awesome at that) make it 3-4 hours long.

Qualified sliding and acting classes or management training course. (Ben's & crew would be a good speaker for this one)

Safety in the haunted house and dealing with refusals to continue (ie people bring children that shouldn't be here, pissed off kids that we scared their girlfriend to much, etc).

How to makeup course that should be hands on and 3-4 hrs long.

Someone who has experience in google click throughs and how to bust your internet presents.

More detailed than general seminars.

Just a few thoughts.

Larry had a detail seminar last year. I imagine he will do something different this year or will do something else far as detail.? We will see.

Here is something a little different, how about for a vendor that sells hardware ,airline and air compressors etc. at wholesale prices.
