After 3 years of no play and all work of beating our collective heads against the proverbial wall to make a successful haunt and having the rug yanked out from under my feet for the Zombie Walk. I am going to do what all whooped dogs do.... I am going to slink off to my corner and lick my wounds.

So short of winning the lottery or Mr Gates wanting to hire me to design and build his dream haunt, I am gonna let the big dogs run and I will watch from the porch with my mason jar. I will poke my head in here every week or so and check on my friends and maybe even post a snippet of my wisdom.

If yall wanna find me The MySpace will still be around.
The "Little House" page will have a conversion to my new hobby in June.
It will be the quickest way to contact me

JD,

I once took a break from the mad world of haunting -- it did me good and made me a better haunter. I'm sorry things have not gone well, but at least you will still grace us with your presence every now and then. :)

U said that the rug was pulled out from under you on the Zombie Walk -- what happened?

I second that! What happened! I was wondering why I hadn't heard from you via myspace. Regardless, I hope that the time you take will do you well. Sometimes we do need a little space. I hope that you will be well. Be sure to stop in whenever you can!

one word
Permits
alas the zombie walk as I have envisioned it is no more. I am canceling the request to Guinness and to the food bank citing the permits were denied do to the event being "inappropriate for that time of the year".

Now if a bunch of people show up dressed as Zombies...... I have nothing to do with it.

Oh, hint as for the new hobby it involves my "new" son and
BOO!

JD,

You were denied a permit because they felt it wasn't the correct time of the year? Are you serious?

Um, whatever happened to freedom of speech? Now the permit issuers are censoring us? (grumbling mad)

That's ridiculous! Are they now dictating to us? When will it stop?

JD, like I said before, I know what it's like to need a break. It was due to being fed up with the system that forced me to take a step back and look to see if this was what I really wanted to do with my life. When I found out that it was, I was even the more stronger.

Come back strong to us, Sweetheart! We'll be waiting....
