Here is a story about Skull Kingdom...

It goes into detail about the attraction being torn down, what's going in its place, etc.

Do we have anyone from that area? Can you take some photos of Skull Kingdom getting the wrecking ball? Love some shots!

"The National Darkrides"enthusiasts voted it one of their ten favorite walk-through attractions?"
Really?
All I ever remember reading about it were complaints and it not living up to it's potential(or hype?)
Maybe the complainers were not the general public though? If you know what I'm getting at?
I thought it was open more than the years the article gave it too?
Of course newspaper reporters Never make mistakes, we all know that.
Clark Kent never did.

I'll be in Orlando this coming Mon, Tue, and Wed. The article didn't say when it would be torn down but if there is anything going on while I'm there I can get some pictures.

Still there. Pretty impressive facade really. I'd never seen it in the daylight before.

It is a great facade!! I always wondered why they never re-painted those exposed foam areas, they have been showing for years now while they were running....

Maybe to repaint those parts would have required the time and expense of a boom-truck or alot of scaffolding to reach up and out over the "rocks" that come outward from the base of the building?
Leaning a ladder against the facade's material may not have been something advisable to do ?
To paint or not to paint usually hinges on a money issue for most people I have known.

What a kick ass facade too bad they have to take it down with a wrecking ball.
