Hi there. I was just wondering, if any of you know of any place/store that I can get sideshow props. Shrunken head, mummy, etc.

Thanks,

Dustyn

Dustyn,

Are you looking for the "real deal" sideshow quality props, or simply haunted house props that follow that theme?

Try http://grindshow.com/ He makes sideshow props.

Hey Lurker --- Shhh Doug's site is a secret! Seriously, if you want top quality side show props, you can't beat Doug Higley (Grindshow.com). He is a really nice guy too. Order early though, because he works alone and has a lot of orders coming in.

Damn! I'm really bad with secrets. :( I just started reading Doug's Scary Dark Rides book. So far so good.

You can also search ebay for the work of Mark Frierson. There are several pieces up right now.

It depends on what you want, of course, but I would recommend starting with Higley. Everything that he does is custom and he will probably be able to do what you want.

I have also dealt with Custom Creatures and Fiendish Curiosities and have enjoyed pieces from each.

That is enough to get started. If there is something specific that you are looking for, let me know and I will see what I can find.

I am putting together something errrr... unique using sideshow exhibits, though it is not my haunt but for the "off" season.

At any rate, I have researching this for a while, so let me know if I can help or if you want to brainstorm.

Years ago a certain tabloid newspaper bought a bunch of sideshow exhibits created by one talented person and they drag them out and put the pictures of them in that tabloid every so often.
Talk about getting maximum "miles" from somebody else's creative efforts!!

Don't really want to promote Ebay, but Search under sideshow and GAFF...

Here is a piece we did for a customer who owns a traveling sideshow. We cannot duplicate it, but we could do something like it. I just thought you guys might like to see it.
I think it is a fun piece
