I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, if not, I apologize., But I am running a chainsaw this year for the second year in a row and have already went through one crappy homelite one that I got for free, I just picked up a Poulan saw today in much better condition. In this thread someone talked about how revving it too high may blow the engine, they said something about a set screw to limit how high it revs.

Anyone know how this is done or have any tips? Thanks. Also, any tips on chainsaws in general?

I finally got a chance to see that $600 fake chain saw, glad I never bought it. The day some makes an electric or push button start chainsaw will be the day I kiss a man, I want one bad...the saw, not the kiss. One that starts on the first pull and the string doesn't come out would be nice too. On ours, we bought a new one and took the muffler off. The we remove the chain, take a bicycle chain and break it. We attached that chain to the bar with hot glue or jb weld, so the saw has the appearance of a chain. The chain is not connected in any way to the saw, just appears that it is. Many patrons look at the saw and see the empty bar, but, when they see the chain on it...hehehe
