Fellow Members:

I wanted to share my concern with parking lots that are located in grass pastures. Here in NC we have been in an extreme drought for months. If the grass is not cut very short and the clippings removed this is a very dangerous condition. Especially with the import cars that have been lowered by so many of our target customers. The exhaust pipes and catalytic converters are glowing hot can iqnite the grass and your parking lot could go up in flames.

What you can do to prevent this dangerous condition?

1. Mow the grass as low as you can.
2. Remove the grass clippings once you mow the area.
3. Have a water service soak the parking lot one hour before you open.
4. Post no smoking signs entering the parking lot.
5. Have several water extinguishers and abc extinguisehers at the parking lot.

I plan on doing all the above!

Safety First, Profit a close Second!

We use a grass parking lot too..
Last year, we had the local Volunteer Fire Dept, set up two trucks
at the main entrance, let them' collect money for their fire department
Boot drive, (Fund Raiser) it's a win,win.. you get fire protection, they get donations'
