I was approached to let a group of ghost hunters investigate our
haunted house for paranormal activity back in October. I let this
group access our old farm house several times and did not think much
of it at the time. Then a few months go by and a reporter contacted
me about getting some back ground information on a report he was
writing for our local paper on Ghost Hunters. Then it hit me that
this is a great way to get some press in the off season. We all have
seen the ever increasing popularity of Ghost Hunters on TV and the
well known places that they go investigate. Since our haunt still
uses an old farm house built in the 1930's it made a great story.
I have seen and heard strange things since we started our haunt
in this old farm house back in 1985.

I encourage all of the haunt owners to do some research and see if a
Ghost Hunting group may be located near you. The results of a little
effort could land you some great press.

I was surprised to see a full front page cover story on our haunted
house in this Sundays local paper. I posted this on our website and
it's official now, Spookywoods is really Haunted!

Read the story at our News and Updates page.

That's a cool idea. If timed right you could definitley get some good (and most importantly free) exposure. We'll have to look into that.

ONe of our local Haunters, Randy Grigg had done a little research into the ghost phenomenom and found our that a small town in Nevada, Goldfield has been the feature of several specials. It is proportedly one of seven most hauted places in the world.

He has created a whole Ghost Hunters style Tour that will debut soon.

You will actually become a Ghost Hunter as he has aquired many of the tools of the trade, EVP recorders, EMF meters, Digital temperature sensors, IR video cameras and the like and YOU get to be the investigator.

Interactive Hands on entertainment may be the wave of the future.

Check out your own local legends and you too may be able to capitalize on the publicity as Tony has stated.
