My step daughter was hit by a car monday afternoon she is in ICU as i speak, my life at this moment is very fucked up and being 1:30 in the morning i dont have anyone i can talk too, so i am writing this to vent... she was catching butterflies when she was hit by the s.u.v , i hope by the weeks end she can come home, to make things worse today is her birthday (9yrs old) and just so badly wanting to be home, but the reality is she has at least 4 to 5 days left before she gets to lay around for another 6 weeks, I am running on about two hours sleep and twenty hours of adreniline and wondering why life can be so hurting.

....That is a sad turn of events.

Sure. What I do is go to imageshack.us, click on the box that says Browse, select an image from my computer, then click on the box that says "host it!". When it takes you to a new screen, there will be a list of codes to copy and paste in which to show the image on the net. "Thumbnail for websites", "Thumbnail for forums (1)", and so on. I copy and paste the code next to "Hotlink for forums (1)". That does the job.

Road Runner? Can't say I've heard of it. Perhaps there is a difference, but none that I know for certain.

Have you tried imageshack.us?

Jason,
Jason,

There's nothing I can say to comfort you that hasn't already been said by others. Just know that you have a lot of friends here that are keeping you and yours in their prayers and positive thoughts. You are in the middle of a storm right now - so much emotions, feeling and worry - but when all of this is finally over you'll look back and be amazed at how you somehow weathered this and you'll be stronger. For now, just take one day at a time and be patient with your little one's recovery. It will take a while for things to get back to normal but they will. In the meantime, if you ever find yourself caught up in thought and you just want to talk to someone or hear another person's voice, give me a call (949) 709-0724. Sometimes us guys have a hard time reaching out to others when we are hurting inside but the weight of sadness is always a lighter load to carry when it is shared by two people. You have many friends in this industry and they are we are all just a phone call away if and when you need us.

Take care my friend,

Tim Turner

Jason, talk to the Dr. first to see what you can get away with. Get as many things from her bedroom as you can and set them up in her room, if she is staying there for a bit. Make it feel more like home. Be sure that she has some games to play with in bed when she comes home. She will get bored easily.
I'm sorry to hear this. My daughter is 10. You're handeling it as well as can be expected. Things will be ok soon. Hang in there, all of you.

Jason, this is Atalie. I'm gonna tell you again, I am SOOOOO thankful Val AND Dania have you. You are a great guy! Thank you for being there for that little girl! She's ALOT like her mother (pain in the butt and stubborn, but we still love em) so she will be alright. She's really not going to like the whole six week bed rest thing though! I can't imagine that girl lying about (still) for a few minutes let alone six weeks.
Give both of them and yourself a big hug for me please!
Thank you Jason. Thank you for being there and taking care of my sister and her baby girl. I can't even thank you enough!

Jason,

I don't know you, but I'm so sorry for what you're having to go through. I hope your daughter is much better soon, and I'm keeping her and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Since you also asked how to post pictures, I wanted to add to what everyone has told you so far. To get to the screen with the paperclip on it, when you click on the picture above that Smiley sent, he has circled the paperclip in green. To get to that image, when you are getting ready to post a message, click on the usual post message box, and then you will have to click on the yellow "Go Advanced" box underneath the original box you type in. That will bring up this screen in Smiley's picture. Then click on the paperclip and upload the picture. I hope this helps!

Take care of your daughter, yourself, and your family!

OK here is the skin dig,

Daina was released from ICU yesterday, switched rooms twice and will be coming home friday.. she does not know it yet but alot of her friends sent her cards and gifts, she will be so happy when she gets home, give it a week and she will be miserable again when she realizes she has many weeks to go before the jumping and running in circles can begin again. I truly want to say THANK YOU!!! to everyone, us halloween folk really do have a big heart after all.. She is a very lucky young lady and proud i am in her life ...She makes me laugh even after the worst day.

Thank you all for your concern. I wanted to update on my daughter. Daina went to the Drs. and Thankfully she is recovering wonderfully. She can be her regular self now she is allowed to run and jump and swim now, she can't play any contact sports (like football) yet ,she is getting there. Valerie has been able to sleep without constantly getting up every 1/2 hr. or so to check on Daina. She is such a great mom. I am so thankful daina is healing well and that the worry and stress has calmed , here.

Thanks again.

glad to hear the lil one is ok.

Scareshack i wrote that with good reason. I was also hit by a moving car when i was 8 years old. Driver had gotten out and supposedley set the parking brake, the car rolled down a hill and pinned me against a tree.

My left leg was crushed so badly they removed a lot of muscle and doctors told my parents i would never walk again. Ha! Dad would have none of that, he took me to a specialist that created a brace to help my left over muscles redevelop.

The doctor said the only chance it might work is if i wen't through rigorous painful daily pushing by my parents to get up and walk. So five times a day they would make me put on the brace and get up and try.

35 years later i am still haulin ass doing anything in life my heart desires. I haven't once ever said "No i can't do that because my leg won't allow me".

Love to ski even !

Had i not been a child i probably would have given up, i just remember watching the kids out the window and wanting to go ride my bike with them.
