For complex animation, lighting and music control I have seen VSA and a couple of others. I would also like to incorporate coordinated video playback. Video files could be on any media. Does anyone have some direction on hardware and software that will incorporate control of this additional element? Im not talking about looping video, but multiple accessible video files triggered by timing or event trigger.

Check out the DV-68 and add the DV-66K. We have 2 of them and while we haven't put them in to full use yet, I've played / tested with them over 2 years now and they are fantastic. The DV-66K pushbutton board also has 8 terminal inputs to connect to a controller of your choice.

If you need to trigger more than 8 video tracks, you can do some other serial control, etc with the other add on's.

I'll note that I bought them from Bill @ Team Kingsley and he's a great guy with GREAT service.
