Okay I'm getting several emails now asking about hotels in St. Louis so here is some info...

the MAIN hotel for this event is this one

http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/stldt-renaissance-st-louis-grand-and-suites-hotel

If you are looking for something a little more exciting try the CASINO and their many hotels...

http://www.lumiereplace.com/

There are many other hotels downtown

This one is REALLY NICE but its not called Adams Mark anymore but its one of the nicest hotels...
Adam's Mark Hotel

(314) 241-7400 www.adamsmark.com (http://www.adamsmark.com/) 315 Chestnut St, St Louis, MO 63102

Then you have Drurry Inn's there is a big one really close across from the convention center more or less...
http://www.druryhotels.com/metro/StLouis/#GM

Then you have Union Station which is an awesome place all by itself... they have about 20 places to eat within the complex, movie theater, things to do, shopping, you name it...

I hope this helps!

FYI: I flew out to the site location in June and wanted everyone to know that the Renaissance Marriott is literally only 40 paces from the front door of the convention center. You couldn't find a more convenient hotel. There are also a great number of dining options in the area including a great steak house, Asian food, sushi, the soup Nazi (from Seinfeld), Italian food, burgers, an authentic Irish pub...there's even a martini bowling joint. Everything is within a couple of blocks. It's really is a great place for a convention and I think a lot of haunters will really fall in love the area in general. Also, Marriott runs regular specials and you can get rooms at this hotel for as low as $89.00 a night if there is a special going on when you make reservations. Check with Marriott online directly for info on current specials being offered.

Tim,

Sounds like a great hotel and location.

I would really like to know how to obtain the $89 deal you mention during the Haunt show. These date are the only dates that matter to me and I suspect everyone else on this board and if your advertised deal is not available during these dates then why mention it?

The prices I am getting for the dates of the Haunt show are $149 - $179. These prices are very high.

Doug.

Go to priceline.com and bid on hotels we did this all the time for almost every city we've ever gone to... also try travelocity.

We got great deals all the time!
