Distortions has the best customer service that I have dealt with. They actually answer emails and return calls!!!

Scarefactory is improving, always cool looking stuff.

What are you looking for in particular? There are a couple good costume companies that frequent these boards....

I talked to the owners of Froggy's at length at Transworld. They use pharmaceutical grade ingredients. The swamp juice is for outdoor applications and produces thick dense fog that hangs around forever. One night the conditions were calm and damp. There was so much fog people couldn't see to get out of the parking lot LOL! I had to turn it down.

I need to get new foggers myself. I just have cheap ones but with enough of them in different spots with the Froggy's fog it was insane! 3 times as thick as the stuff I was using.

Their website has everything you need to know. You can call them and they will explain what would be best for your particular needs.

awsome.
yeah we are going to probably be located outdoors in some form.
we are going to be having a few $100 dino II foggers
and then 5 Chauvet 1700s!!!
i figure if we have 5 chauvet 1700s all going filled with swamp juice were probably going to be putting out some crazy amounts of fog!

Just an FYI, maybe chauvet has stepped it up as far as lights are concerned but I've had two 1700s break within the first week of operation
And they also tend to overheat the fog causing a nasty burning smell. I'd go martin if you still have a choice on foggers....

I agree about the Chavet foggers as well. Ive had the pumps go bad only after a few weeks of use on the 1250 models. I have a few VEI high end machines and have found them much more reliable!!!

allirght, what martin machine is equal in power to the chauvet 1700?

My best advice is to log onto pssl.com. I used to be a pro dj in the area and this company is hands down the best for lighting effects and fogger selection. I agree with skullman that vei is a good company as well. Just poke around online to find a fogger comparable in size as far as martin is concerned. 1700 means 1700 watts, so find something comparable in wattage and you're golden. Also, keep in mind, these things eat through fluid, but they also have one hell of an output. I've seen large venues only have to use three larger foggers for adequate coverage. If I were you I'd buy only a few and go from there. Moral of the story: save your money and try a few before you buy five twenty thousand cubic feet per minute foggers or greater. One last quick note, you want to make sure you can get a fogger that has a low fluid sensing feature to prevent the compression pumps from burning up, and also ensure it is a dmx compatible fogger. Dmx means that if your haunt ever gets big enough to need it, you can link the foggers together and control them all from one dmx board( kind of like centralized sound control)
Good luck.

P.S.
This is not "Bargain Shopping" this is "SMART" Shopping.

I will say this... I was dissaponted that Cheaplight.com stop carring the Chavet 1700 watt fog machine for $188
But I like Fog Storm 1700hd better on demand machine. The reheat starts sooner and will fog durning reheat cycle most of the time.
.....and Fazers (Heat Hazers) work great in areas aren't outside. (127-MINI-HAZE $99.95)( 127-HAZER-700 $150.00 )
