So who's gonna give Larry his 40 spankings? Are there any takers? Where's Shane when we need him? Well Larry if I see you at the tradeshow you're in for some pain. You're ass is gonna be sore after I'm done. Wow, this post has turned gay.

Im 44 and i will gladly admit i am OLD! At least my eyes and back scream it at me everyday!

However hard blue collar work has kept me very physically fit, im still pretty buff for a grandpa,at least thats what the women say!

I'm 40, and I am old. <said like an AA introduction>

But I'll be damned if I'm going to give in!

Kevin, you got back problems, too? The agony!

I'm not happy!!!!

Crying and very Sad Larry this time.

One of the things that helps me get through the "age blues," is to think about how life has been to this point.

Most of our first 40 years is spent under the control of others: our parents; schools; age of "minority." While those things were supposedly there to help us, most of the time they just held us back from taking control of our own lives and getting things done.

Then there was the after-20 era: having babies; establishing careers in jobs most of us don't like.

Forty years is a long time, ya know?

But now you're past the "hard part." And you have the time and control to get things accomplished - granted, with the help of, like, fiber pills, LOL, but it's still a long, long time to have a shitload of fun.

As a note to those who are over 40 and single: from what my aunt (who worked in a nursing home) told me, the dating scene never ends.

So even romance doesn't die!

Larry, to get through it, you simply *have* to think of all the positive things. I promise, it helps.

With haunting love,
Sarah
