In addition to Team Building Events, we are planning on adding additional services at Raycliff Manor, including weddings, private birthday and themed parties, and eventually even Murder Mystery events. I would love to hear from those of you who provide these types of "off season" events at your attractions and get your suggestions, feedback and advice! Please feel free to post your input here or if you prefer, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your input. Thanks!

VERY serious about getting married here in The Ravens Grin.....never follow through.
Maybe a celebration of a couple just deciding to move in together would prove more popular.
Murder Mysterys, yup did those, I wrote the scripts, not an easy thing to do, make it easy enough to be fun yet not so easy that everyone gets quickly bored.
Involvement is the trick with adult fuddy-duddies who can't play or pretend anymore and really had to be drug along to get them there.
If you have 20 parts in the script only make 5 of them super important and then make sure some people who really want to be there get handed those pivital parts.
It goes real slow when someone stands there doing, saying nothing and their revelation in their speech or part is what the rest need to proceed.
When murder mysterys degenerated into just grab and scream in the dark we went to charging people and having them simply play hide and seek which is another term for grab and scream.
If everyone could arrive via a bus it also solves problems of having to wait for people who never show up.

Thanks for your insights Jim! We've just been contacted by an area magazine and they want to know more about the weddings and are interested in featuring us in an article. If anyone has offered weddings or wedding packages at your haunted attraction, I would love to speak with you! Please email me at email@example.com and provide a phone number at which I can reach you. I would really appreciate insights and feedback from those who have done this. Thanks!!!

I give you props for throwing weddings at your haunt. That takes alot of work and planning to pull off and then on top of it you got to find a couple that wants a haunted wedding. I am assuming that a haunted wedding is what you had in mind.

Like the small cave south of Dubuque, Iowas, open to the public for tours.
The largest space in that serpentine cave is maybe 40 inches wide by 8 feet long, twisty-turning it goes, close quarters all the way, NOT for the claustraphobic at all!
There are the wedding pictures, about 4 couples in the wedding party all crammed into this jagged, twisty little space!
I say "Bring on the Cave Bats!" "Bat Guano for all the tuxedos and fancy dresses!" (Makes a mysterious dip for the chips too!)
I see it as like getting married inside of one of your brain's synapses! Close your eyes,, there, see the cramped, twisty little space? You keep your old porno in here? Right next to your recipes?

My family has had experience for almost 10 years in the wedding business. We have had at least 4 weddings a year, and it is too much work for me to deal with. On the farm, we have a big lake with an island, suspension bridge, wishing well, and flower beds out the ass.... it takes a lot of time for us to groom everything for weddings. And of course, every bride wants something different... one year we replanted flowers for one wedding... etc. etc. etc.
The problem w/ my situation is that we spend all the time preparing the grounds, and we don't supply enough services (tent, generator, catering, alcohol, etc) to make enough money to make it worth while...
However, if you have couples that are interested in using facilities that you already have? You have generators that could power a band? If you have sound equipment... a barn or tent... it could be pretty profitable. If you want any more info, you could shoot me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
