  1. Default Newbie air cannon question

    Hi Ghouls,
I'm looking at possibly using an air cannon this year. I see they're not cheap. Generally around $200 or so on up. However I also noticed that these are not 'all inclusive' and apparently you need to have already some kind of air compressor to connect the cannon to. Where do you get these compressors and is there some diagram, tutorial or whatever that shows the whole apparatus in operation?
    Thanks !

Air compressors for air cannons are the same air compressors you use for other pneumatic props. Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's, and Harbor Freight all have acceptable air compressors.

The larger the storage tank and CFM the better, and buy an oil lubricated instead of an oilless whenever possible.

Do you think these are generally safe for use in a garage haunt venue?

As long as they are built properly (solenoid valves designed for air use, built in regulator/saftey blow off), and installed correctly (shooting below waist of shortest possible patron, pressure regulated, etc.)
