    Hey everyone,

I discovered this article this morning while doing my usual news reading and I thought this would have a very practical use for the haunted house industry for those able to build a similar system to recreate a realistic fire.

The system uses a fine mist of water vapor and LED's in the logs to recreate the illusion of a moving flame and smoke. I think it looks incredible and would be great illusion by to recreate. Let's see if anyone has ideas on how to build a cheaper similar system that pulls off the same effect. You can find a video of the effect on the article page.

That phone doesnot look real to me!
    Somebody must have "built" it.
I might approach this tecnical problem by just building a phoney phone out of a solid steel block, then throw it into a real fire. hahahaha! (Low-Temp fire, of course)
    Just like satan's phone!

That's a good youtube vid. I think this is a much much better illusion to use then the fake firepot with the fan blowing the cloth over orange light.

This would be great to create a retort ("oven") for a crematory scene.
