I was finally able to make it over for some photos of the barn. I popped them into a slideshow, but the photo quality isn't so hot. I'm posting a few photos in the thread too. I'm going to update with more photos as I take them too. Enjoy!!!

I bet that looks pretty creepy on a rainy stormy night!. Reminds me of some Friday The 13th Episodes. Very cool! Lots of possibilities. Be sure to show us your progress.

Kinda looks like our barn that we use. We had to do alot of life safety updates but we have been running ours 10 years now starting on 11th. Great possiblilities in these old barns.

Oh my golly we have SOOO much to do safety wise. That's all we've been working on this month and probably they next. Running new electrical, jackhammering our door sills, even removing a gazillion nails used as hangers throughout the barn as well as some structural issues like old pane windows that we are boarding over and roof and floor supports. Yeesh. I am so ready to decorate but that seems like forever in the future.....

Yepper! In years past we've done it in the bay of our fire station and moved the trucks out. Our cold climate means we can only do one weekend because the trucks need plugged in, so we set up, do our haunt for three days, then tear down all in a week. It was exhausting figuring there's only like 10 of us that do all of it. Moving to the barn gives us more time and also more weeks to do the haunt itself, but WOWZA we've got a bunch of work to do!

One good thing after the safety is addressed......you can decorate in these things let you imagination go absolutely wild. We found a good find on craiglist, I got a drycleaner conveyor on craiglist for like 125.00, great for rotating pigs! Keep sending pics I will get some of ours up. Since ours is the Haunted Farm I try and keep everything to the theme. Farm equipment makes for some interesting scenes. Don't forget the hillbilly room with the still in it and the guy who says so you were in my corn, you know you need corn for the whiskey. lol I could go on and on......... been doing the farm now for 10 years this is our 11th. I know what you mean though wanting to get the safety done to decorate....ANXIOUS!

I would love to see photos of your barn!!!!

I'm not sure if we are totally carrying the barn theme through all of the rooms. We go to the Haunters Convention this weekend coming up and that will be our last bit of creative inspiration to decide everything. My room that I will work in ends the haunt and is a swamp voodoo witch kinda room and that's about the only thing firmed up besides a cemetery room somewhere. I can't wait!!!
