So, this is our second year running Deceased Farm in Lexington, SC and we're stoked about it!

So, we are quite happy with our make-up, costuming, etc BUT we were wondering if there is some way to make hair look super grungy, dirty, bloody, and have it stay in place and keep its shape for a whole night.

We were thinking some kind of hair gel/loose soil mix? Will that work? Also, I heard something about oatmeal.

    Any help will be appreciated!!

I use Mud mask made by Queen Helene, it works great is is good for their hair. Here are a few examples of it. This tip and more are all on my Airbrush make up for haunted attractions DVD, get the DVD on my site if you are interested.

I use lots of hair grease (Royal Crown or Murray's Wax)) found in the ethnic hair care section of the grocery store or pharmacy. I also have used hair conditioner and leave it in all night. Both are very cheap and work well for a greasy look. Allen's suggestion produces a different effect and I'll admit I've never used it but it looks really cool...

What is that guy wearing to make his eyes look like that and still be able to see?

He is not wearing those, he just rolls his eyes into his head for all his pics.
