Has anyone tryed using audacity for editing your audio? A room that Im doing is going to have the "Saw" movie theme. I need a some prerecorded audio that sounds like Jigsaw. I was told about Audacity and all the cool things that can be done with it. There is a totally free version that can be downloaded.

After I downloaded the program I then found some tutorials on sounding like Jigsaw using Audacity. I recorded my track on the program, made the changes as directed in the tutorials......and done!!

    Totally awesome program, totally free

I have only worked with garage band, Pro Tools and something else I cant remember the name to make my own audio/music tracks.

Is Audacity similar to those? Is it for PC or Mac? Did you need an interface?

    Sorry Im not much help.

I have used Audacity in the past, pretty much the only sound program I use. Very easy to figure out and use. I love, I used the heck out of it in my 3-d pirate house last year.
John from EFXtech taught a class on it two hauntcons ago (houston).
    Great program,

I've definitely used Audacity in the past and continue to use it this year. Way easier to use Audacity to record my own Voice Over tracks for commercials and intro rooms and stuff. Also great for editing music...especially because you can export them as mp3 and run them on an inexpensive mp3 player!!
